We're On The Right Side of Rock Bottom

You know the feeling when you just got home from a very exhausting day and you saw a box of your favorite cookies on your dining table? Well, that's exactly how I felt when I found out I won a Meet and Greet pass to Hailee Steinfeld's show.

I wasn't actually expecting I would win. I just tried my luck and boom, I won. My friends always tell me that I'm very lucky with online contests. If only they knew how much effort I put in some of the online contests that I joined before. They wouldn't actually believe the number of hours I've wasted on twitter and instagram just to win.

I wasn't really that excited about my prize. I mean, of course I do want to meet Hailee Steinfeld. I mean I like her and her debut EP which I actually made a short review. But what I really want from MCA Music, Inc. is to become one of their interns. I had an interview with them few weeks ago and unfortunately I didn't make it to the cut. Instead of actually receiving a "Hi, Paola! I would like to ask if you can start your internship tomorrow." text message from them, I got a "Congratulations! You just won a MEET and GREET pass to Hailee Steinfeld Live in UPTOWN MALL".

I'm not really complaining at all. It's just I really want to work my ass off  this summer in a music company or maybe even in a concert productions. But I guess I'll just try my luck after graduation.

Moving on, the show was grand in its own way. I mean, it was just a mall show but Hailee Steinfeld showed that she's definitely much better than singers who receive a great amount of recognition, not because of their vocals but because of their physical appearance. She sang all her songs from her debut EP and some bonus songs, Love Yourself and Flashlight. I actually thought that the audience was quite louder than the sound of her own mic. She keeps on gesturing to the tech people that she couldn't hear herself. I actually couldn't hear her very well too. I mean, I was singing along to her but the other people were LITERALLY FANGIRLING, SCRUENGING (a hybrid word of screaming, squealing and singing that I made ). With that, i can say that Hailee was really overwhelmed with the amount of love that the fans showed her. She keeps on smiling and it warms my heart very much.

Here are some of the shots I took:
