The worst thing about going to a concert is not being able to prepare your concert essentials. I'd sound like a hypocrite if I say that live for the moment and forget about capturing it because honestly i'd like to live for the moment and actually capture every single detail of it
I just feel so bad for not having any photo from the feel good, girl power concert; Get Weird Tour. I mean yes, me and my concert bud have nice photos from the concert but I want to have my own photos of the girls while performing. I'd also like to record some of my favorite performances such as Salute and Move. Unfortunately, my DSLR's battery was missing.
Moving on, let me share you guys some details from my Get Weird Tour experience. I've only been a fan of Little Mix last year. I'm really glad that I became one because their performance level was really worth watching - they were on fire!
The day started with the Meet and Greet session. Me and my friend got the opportunity to meet them when we bought their Get Weird album. We got at the venue by 3PM and we lined up for almost 2 hours before they let us enter the venue. The photo-op session was in group of 10s and we literally have no clue whom we're going to be with.
At first I was disappointed because I'm hearing rumors about how the photo-op session would go. However, when it was our turn; interacting with them felt like forever.
I thought being last in line would give me less opportunity in interacting with them but I was wrong, or so I thought. I was planning to stand next to Perrie Edwards but I got blocked by her bouncer so I ran in front of her instead. We were greeted by Perrie and Leigh-Ann and I was literally, literally star struck! The official photographer signaled us for the photo-op and boom we're done. But my interaction with the girls didn't end after the camera snapped. I turned around and got my hands wide open in front of Perrie then kaboom SHE HUGGED ME, FAM. Yes. You're reading it right. She hugged me so tight I forgot to smell whatever perfume she used lol. When she let me go, I told her she's so pretty and she thanked me in her beautiful British accent. I can still remember the way she thanked me, the way she looked me in the eyes. Jade was actually my fav and so when we were ushered out, I didn't forget to say hi to her. She smiled and waved back at me. Such a lovely feeling. They were really really nice.
In the evening, we got to witness a high quality total girl power performance from the Jade, Perrie, Leigh-Anne, and Jesy . Some deem this girl group as petty and dramatic but it does not matter; that night, I felt like ME. I felt like a little girl dancing and singing along to their feel good pop tunes.
It wasn't dramatic. It was empowering.
It wasn't dramatic. It was empowering.
The concert wasn't really just about that. It was also about how mind-blowing their performances were. Their energy didn't run out. They hit those high notes while catching their breath. Perrie was really amazing. All of them actually were! My favorite part was Salute. It has always been my favorite performance of theirs. It was so amazing seeing them so passionate about performing and creating music that empowers women. They were just so so amazing, they got us like:
