My Top 15 Albums in 2015

It's so obvious though the music industry this 2015 was so lit because of the all concerts and new music that was released from left to right. From the comeback album of Justin Bieber to the debut albums of new artists like Halsey and Shawn Mendez, we were truly blessed with a whole lot of good music especially in the last quarter of the year.

With that said, I decided to make a list of my top albums this year. Either these albums were on loop the whole year round or these albums were undeniably good. It was really hard to narrow down every album that was released this year but I really did try my best to pick the ones that touched my heart the most. I'm going to be honest here, so here it goes.

1. American Candy by The Maine (Pop, Rock)

Personally, I think this album is one of the undiscovered beauties of 2015. Every lyric from every song in this album mirrors the reality of life. American Candy has a message that each and every one of us can really relate to. Other than that, the album is also a mixture of both pop and rock so I really got this album on loop the whole year round. :)

2. Confident by Demi Lovato (Pop)

I'm not saying this is by far Demi's best album yet but considering the fact that she made a major leap in her career with this album, I must say this is one of the best albums released this year.

3. Purpose by Justin Bieber (Pop, RnB)

I'm not a fan but I want to be honest: this is one of the best albums released this year. Every song is worth a grammy. The whole ALBUM is actually worth a grammy. I must say this was a really nice comeback album for him.

4. Badlands by Halsey (Indie pop, electropop)

I fell in love with indie pop music more because of this album. The poetry in this album is quite unbelievable.

5. Made in the AM by One Direction (Pop, pop-rock)

There's no question, One Direction became a bit mature with this record. I got so hook with this album in the last quarter of the year. Despite missing a voice that used to be there, they proved that they can still smash it. This album is the proof.

6. Chaos and the Calm by James Bay (Indie)

Forgot to thank Spotify for being my best friend this year. Spotify actually helped me discover James Bay with his song Hold Back the River. I wasn't really disappointed when I listened to his whole discography. The album was really really really good.

7. Madness by Sleeping With Sirens (post-hardcore, pop punk)

I told myself I'm not going to be into Sleeping With Sirens' music but Madness prove me wrong. I haven't really listened to their other albums but I really love this one.

8. Beneath the Skin by Of Monsters and Men (Indie pop, indie-folk)

Ever since I got hook with indie pop I started searching for some good artists under that genre. When I first heard Empire, I knew right away that Beneath the Skin will be one of my favorites this year. I really love the indie-folk vibes in this album. It's really something new to me.

9.Get Weird by Little Mix (pop)

Get Weird redefined the whole girl group sound of this generation. It's so bop, pop and everything real nice. I'm not into girl groups but Get Weird made me love a certain girl group so much. The songs in this album is really not the usual lyric repetitive kind that most of girl groups in this generation come up with.

10. Delirium by Ellie Goulding (Indie pop)

Love love this album. There's just something inexplicable about this album that made me want to listen to it in the last quarter of  2015.

11. Blurryface by Twenty One Pilots (Pop-rap)

Never really felt like I was living a thug life until I gave this band a try. I really love the poetry that they come up with in every song on the album.

12. Unbreakable Smile by Tori Kelly (Pop, soul, RnB)

This album is also one of the undiscovered beauties of 2015, though I'm glad that Tori Kelly didnt get snob by The Grammys. I really love the pop vibes in this album. However, I'm more into some of the ballads like the ones she did with Ed Sheeran.

13. Higher Than Here by James Morrison (Pop, pop-soul, contemporary)

Musically-wise, Demons was a masterpiece. This one song actually led me into listening to the whole record. Turns out, the whole record was also a masterpiece and it has made its way to my list of best albums.

14. Revival by Selena Gomez (Pop)

Okay. I dont like her but I admit it, some of the whisper hit songs were really good and catchy as hell. I'm not gonna snob the maturity she's worked on with this album just because I don't like her. Revival was somehow a thumbs up from me to her.

15. Soul Sucker by This Century (Pop-rock)

They really made a nice last album before they officially call it quits. Soul Sucker is such a bop and it deserves more recognition.

I really haven't indulged myself yet with Adele's 25 and Coldplay's A Head Full of Dreams but im definitely sure they're gonna make it on my list if I just wasn't so busy thinking about life in the past few weeks. Anyway, I also love Future Hearts but it sounds like the same old All Time Low sound, so it's a no no for All Time Low this time. I also love Handwritten by Shawn Mendez and Cry Baby by Melanie Martinez. Black Lines by Mayday Parade is nice too but it doesn't have something really worth listening to (except Letting Go) to have its own position on my list.

So there we go, my last post in 2015. I hate myself for not posting the Wednesday Playlist regularly (by regularly I meant every Wednesday) but I'll try next year. Yay. That is all for the year. Happy New Year, music lovers!!! It was a nice year for all of us.
