ICYMI: Here are the bomb music videos that dropped this February

I've been so so so busy lately because of school works. I promised that I would update my Wednesday playlist posts but I honestly don't have much time for writing and posting random music stuff. Despite my lack of time for posting, never did I detach myself from music. It's my buddy, my working companion, how can I just leave it behind?

I'm not going to share to you my playlist (since it's not Wednesday today haha) but I would just like you to know that there were four AWESOMESAUCE music videos released this week!!!! By awesomesauce, I mean all of them are aesthetically beautiful (that sounded a bit redundant but idc.) So here's all of them:

1. Stone Cold by Demi Lovato

Leave the iconic Let it Go behind because this new music video from Demi Lovato is so much more than standing frozen in the life she's chosen. Stone Cold is one of my personal favorites from her whole discography. The song clearly showcases her raw vocals and all I can say is that with this music video, she has completely played with my emotions again.

I honestly like the contrast between snow and fire. Fire was not literally a center of attention for this music video but I like that they kind of used it to show how Demi was the opposite of the song's title. The video kind of showed that her cold heart has miraculously turned into water where she has immersed herself in. *Note: As far as I know, it was not her who is Stone Cold, it's someone else. Or I'm getting the song wrong? Anyway, it's a matter of perception.

2. YOUTH by Troye Sivan

First of all I would like to compliment the aesthetic of this music video. Shades of purple, blue and pink made the music video so so so beautiful. The hallway where Troye is singing is something I really want to have when I get my own house. I really would also like to go to an actual house party inspired by the aesthetic of this music video, uhmmm.... minus the kissing and getting drunk part because it's really not just me at all.

Overall, the music video was just so BEAUTIFUL. It's so eye candy. Plus I really really love the song. My favorite from Blue Neighborhood, tbh.

3. The Sound by The 1975

Musically speaking, Love Me was good. However, its music video was quite chaotic and messy in my eyes. This one was a step up for my taste. When I first heard The Sound, I was hooked. I can't help but praise The 1975 with this new masterpiece they've come up with. I love UGH but I guess not as much as I love this new song.

Speaking of the music video, aside from its black and neon pink aesthetic I also like the its concept. I'm not a big fan but I know how they get these weird emo bubble gum pop criticisms from the general public. I'm actually not against what they're doing. Art is a matter of perception. If some people don't get what they do, then who cares? You made it for your own expression, and lucky you are if you get some fish from it

I like the role reversal concept of the critics being in the box and the band being outside staring on them. It's like "Hey, you keep on dragging us down. But we don't care. Look at where we are." Artists don't literally feed the people with that fact but in actuality that's how it goes.

4. Colors by Halsey

Colors is actually one of my favorite tracks from Halsey's debut album alongside Ghost and Roman Holiday. Just like New Americana, Colors' music video is quite a story, but this time though Halsey added some plot twist with it.

Tyler Posey was quite a gentleman in the music video. I'm actually kind of in it with their budding romance but the part where Tyler accidentally bumped Halsey ruined my music video ship because she fatherzoned him. Oh noes. I actually didn't see it coming, except the part where Halsey had bits of potatoes on her chin and she was staring at Tyler's dad. But still, i didn't give in to it.

Overall the music video, was not bad at all. I like the cinematography filter. Also, Halsey looked so on point with her wig. She kinda looks like the girl dancing in Sia's music videos. I like it. I actually like long haired Halsey. I like it either blue or pink.

So that's it! I actually love the fact that these artists released the music videos of my personal fave tracks from their albums. I don't know when I might update my blog with some random music stuff again but regarding my playlist (that I would really like to share hahahahaha) I'm actually into Spotify's Indie Mix and Indie Pop playlist. I also discovered just now Jamie Lawson's whole discography which was so beautiful. It's now on loop. Also BANNERS is a new fave.
