Good Times with All Time Low

"Tell me a band who loves you more than we do?", Alexander Gaskarth, lead singer of American Pop-punk band, All Time Low screamed out as their Manila crowd cheer over them for the 4th time around. I can't say it's the Jonas Brothers because technically that band hates me so much. Well, I guess let's just say The Maine.... and yep, All Time Low. These two bands have been in Manila for quite a number of time now; blame the overwhelming love and support that they constantly experience from their Filipino fans.

I wasn't really expecting that I'd get to see All Time Low again but heaven was so good to me that it gave me a good friend named Genevieve. To be honest, I haven't listened fully to their latest album yet. Thus, I was a bit doubtful if I would come to the show. But I did anyway.

Turns out it wasn't actually a full-packaged Last Young Renegade show as I was expecting. It was a concert that showcased a combination of songs from the Put Up or Shut Up record up to the latest one.

All Time Low's set list that night was definitely lit, but I have to say that it was not as solid as it was last year. On the other note, I have to say that their stage presence was STILL very much unbeatable. This band is still that band that would make you go running, jumping and headbanging while they perform their hits from time to time.

However, I guess there's really gonna be a difference when you see one of your favorite bands for the first time versus when you see them for the second time - or at least that's how it worked out for me with this show. I wasn't as wild in this show as I was then when I first saw them two years ago. Nevertheless, I still had the same emotion as what I had when I first heard them sing Therapy and Missing You. These two songs are one of my personal favorites from the band and it just really means so much to me to have heard it again for the second time around. It also felt really good to hear them sing Cinderblock Garden, and some old school All Time Low songs that are probably the main reason why I fell in love with them.

Overall, it was an amazing night. Alex and Jack were very garrulous about the most trivial matter and it was really fascinating and hilarious. I may not be as devoted as I was to them two years ago but this band will always have a place in my heart.
